    New Behr Mahle Water Pump

I bought a new water pump and it was delivered yesterday. Mfr box pump was in had been taped up and then shipped. Looks like it was dropped and bent one of the water hose pipes or nipples slightly. I don't think it will leak.

But, I am wondering if there is suppose to be a paper gasket on back side of pump? I do have the o-rings for the pump and new thermostat.

And, does anyone bother to knock off the tiny jagged edges of pump blade to clean it up a bit? I would hate for the jagged pieces to wear off and circulate through pump.

You have to buy the green paper gasket separately.

I couldn't find part number for the water pump gasket on realoem. Would a thin coat of Reinzosil work?

there is no paper gasket for your car, nor is one needed.
