I'll start off by saying, I know about valve stem seals and I had a 745 with valve steam seal leaks.
This one seems abit different though, ifs got the classic sign of leaky valve steam seals except its not using a drop of oil!? I've put around 700 miles on the thing since I changed the oil and the level is exactly the same.
What else could make these engines puff blue smoke after idling for a while? I replaced both pcv valves last weekend, the left one had a massive tear in it. Its still smoking but far less. Does it take time to clear everything out after changing the pcv valves?
Or perhaps its the early stages of the seals leaking?
Thanks for the replies, it must have been from the PCV as now I can let it idle for as long as I want and not one bit of blue smoke comes out! Phew!
