For sale: 1999 Z3 M Coupe

Hi all,

Looking to sell my 1999 Z3 M Coupe (s52 generation) since I need to make some room in my garage for new toys that are coming in. Car was my daily for about one year, then became a weekend/fun car. I put about 14k miles on it over the past 3-4 years

Issue:
- Minor issue with the HVAC temp control knob, the plastic arm that holds the temp control cable is broken. A replacement HVAC control unit is needed. Fortunately its set to max cold right now and AC works with no issue, so you won't sweat to death. I can fix this for you or just take price off to compensate.

Highlights:
- 104,xxx miles
- 2 owner (including myself) car
- Clean title, clear carfax, no accidents
- Silver exterior, grey/black interior
- 6MT
- Aftermarket headunit. I still have the stock headunit if you're interested.
- Aftermarket wheels. Also have the stock wheels still if interested. Previous owner included 2 extra rear wheels as well, so that is available as well.
- Subframe reinforcement (using kit from Randy Forbes) with Ireland Engineering bushings

History:
- Oct 2016: Bought car, did oil change, replaced spark plugs, air filter, fuel filter, drive belt
- Feb 2017: Replaced transmission fluid, accessory belt and pulley, reverse light switch
- April 2018: Replaced windshield do it pitting (occurred during transport when I purchased it)
- April 2019: Subframe reinforcement kit (from Randy Forbes) and subframe bushings (from Ireland Engineering) installed.
- April 2019: Installed new clutch and lightweight flywheel. Replaced clutch fork, pilot bearing, clutch pivot, transmission seals, rear main seals, shift pins, stainless steel clutch lines, stainless steel brake lines.

Other details:
- Leather Z center armrest
- JVC KD-K33B0BTS headunit and 4 x JVC CS-DR520 speakers (2 front, 2 rear)
- APEX ARC-8 wheels in Hyper Black. 17x10 ET25 in rear, 17x8.5 ET40 in front.
- Previous owner replaced rear shocks (believe they were Bilstein)

Hi ahyiah,
I had the same HVAC issue on my Non M 2001 Z3 coupe. It seems to be a common issue. I was able to repair it for about $5 plus my time to get in there.

I think the metal pin replacement will be stronger than the original, but I also adjusted the cable as described to avoid the issue recurring.

Also, appreciate the links cdg325es, thats exactly the part that broke. The pin at the corner of that control arm broke off. I'll send these links to the new owner so they can decide what to do. Thanks!
