Intake manifold removal for vacuum leaks

So I've pulled the intake on my 2004 325i to fix the CCV and replace any vacuum lines that need replacing. Once I got the intake out I realised there's no vacuum lines running off the back like there usually is, it's all capped off. Should there be vacuum lines?

    Thanks!

Interesting, that sensor wouldn't have any effect on a vacuum leak would it?

Best I know that sensor is for the exhaust.

Yeah, I figured considering it's an egr sensor, I'm not gonna worry about that too much, my county doesn't do emissions, I'm more worried about vacuum leaks.

Ahh! Understood...I just like to have everything just as it was fitted from the manufacturer. Gives me a good base start when I'm trying to make adjustments and repairs.

I can understand that! Trust me if I had the money the engine bay would be oem, but I'm a college student just trying to keep my car running lol.

    Two Z3 Roadsters
The 7 mm port is never used, always capped.

Of the two 3.5 mm ports:
    - 1 is always capped. This one is often used for the 02 mod, if you have a high oil consumption.
    - 1 is used for the secondary air pump. What has been called the EGR in post #2. Your BMW doesn't have an EGR valve. It looks like it does not have a secondary air pump, so this port is capped.

    2000 3.0L Z3 Roadster,

There is only one thing more pleasurable than working on a Z3, that's driving it top down on a fine day.

Well guys, after tearing apart my intake and replacing nearly everything related to vacuum she's back together and running perfect. I had a huge vacuum leak problem (AFR 18:1) and a misfire in cylinder 2. Turns out the CCV was busted and she was drinking oil pretty rapidly, causing the plug in number 2 to foul and the others were close behind. Found the culprit inside the CCV, it was the rubber diaphragm of course.

    Lesson learned: CHANGE YOUR CCV!!
