I have a 1997 E36 convertible with Sport Package. I've owned the car for over 12 years and have already replaced the struts once, approximately 80k miles and 8 years ago. I don't recall what I used last time, but I think it was Sachs OEM style.
Well it's time to replace them again again, and I want something better. I don't want a harsh ride, I'm looking for comfy. Can I use Bilstein Touring struts for non-sport suspension cars? What will that do to my car?
Any other suggestions are appreciated.
If your car hasn't been lowered then use the B6 struts. If you have lowered it then use B8's.
It will give you a better ride than the stock type ones. I have Koni sports (adjustable) on mine and like the ride and handling.
I went to the Bilstein web site and used the Product Search, based on my car and options. They came up with B4, options for both Sport and Standard suspension, and B6 and B8.
B4 is their touring strut, which also happens to be the least expensive.
Anyone have opinions on the B4 struts?
Thanks.
The B4 is their factory type replacement.
have same question..? 69tr6r did you find a good solution? I have 99 m3 and want to do same thing. Something nice quality, sporty, and comfortable.
