Hello! After 20 plus years of admiring and getting my sons through college, I now have my Z3!
1997 2.8 60,000 miles DunkerGrun 307.
I purchased it from second owner and drove it 2 hours to get it home. What a great ride! zGrinning the entire way home. Note my older brother now has a Saturn Skye, a 2001 Z3 and a 2000 Z3 M. He told me I would be all smiles!
Well the grins did not last long. After a quick 5 mile drive to show the wife; I parked it in the drive then returned to put it in the garage. The clutch was stuck. Only change gears with engine off. This forum is awesome though. Worked through the problem solving steps and found the issue to be the slave cylinder. Felt good replacing it (on my back under the car), but then came the bleeding hydraulics. That was a real test of fortitude! Again forum led me to pulling slave and bleeding / pumping slave with the bleeder valve tilted up. Amazing how nice and firm the clutch felt! I think I can help folks out with this repair!
Now I am cruising and grinning again! Ready to get into detailing this Dunker Grun with Moss green leather interior. Upgrade sound system will also be on the to do list.
Again the knowledge base on this forum is outstanding. I hope I can contribute as time goes by.
Thanks
Pleased to hear that you are back on the road again. The forum is great, full of good advice and knowledgeable people.

There is only one thing more pleasurable than working on a Z3, that's driving it top down on a fine day.
