It’s tough for me to let this one go. It’s taken me years to find such a low mileage and good condition E90 with these specific options. However, my wife informs me I have too many cars already
For sale in Austin, TX is a 2011 E90 328i sedan 6 speed manual with M-Sport package, Blue with black interior (ALL original from the factory). Those of you that like this gen know this isn’t an easy combo to find. It’s got the reliability and lighter weight of the NA N52 engine. Prior to this I had an E36 M3 sedan that I loved and this car is pretty similar with some better creature comforts (the AC actually blows cold!).
Car has just 67k miles. I am the 4th owner. Drives like new.
Documentation:
-I have service history going back to late 2017. The 3rd owner was meticulous and it’s been well cared for. It was under extended warranty so he took care of everything.
-I have my mechanics report as of 3/25/2020 (when I bought it) and he went over everything. I have that as well.
-I have the Carfax. It notes an accident on 01/27/2013. Minor to moderate damage, repaired and driven for another year by that owner. This is NOT a salvage title. The 3rd owner (I tracked him down after purchasing) noted he actually didn’t even know the car had ever been in an accident after driving it for 3 years. The repair was flawless and you cannot see any indications it was ever in an accident.
Options:
-last 7 digits of VIN NL85937
-HK sound
-sunroof
-M-Sport (aero and suspension)
-6-speed
-black int
-blue exterior
Condition:
-car runs and drives perfectly
-a couple wheels are pretty curbed
-30% tire tread left
-paint scratched on front hood, front bumper – tried to take pics of this
-I have a PPI (pre-purchase inspection) dated 3/25/2020 – I actually did it after I bought it but asked the mechanic to give it a complete going over. I’m happy to provide it upon request. It’s clean except for the known issues below, which does not prevent it from driving.
-new oil change as of 1 month ago (and almost no driving since).
Known issues
-1 key fob only and it only unlocks the car. It won’t lock it remotely. Mechanic told me it’s not sending a signal when the lock is depressed. Oddly the trunk and door unlocks work remotely.
-mechanic told me I should change the oil pan gasket next year à figure $1300 for that
-mechanic told me I should change the motor mounts at same time à figure $300 for that
-to be clear, after my PPE, my mechanic told me these weren’t too bad and it would be no problem to go a year, he just gave me a heads up they were coming (it’s pretty common at this mileage).
-as per the Carfax and previous owner, the car did have a minor accident in 2013. But it’s not a salvage and it was repaired incredibly well. There is no evidence of it.
