I am looking at a 325i that was in the process of becoming a track/drift car. The guy states the car ran fine but had a problem with the transponder, so he flashed the ecu and deleted the ews. However, now the car can't accelerate. He says it turns on and idles fine but the gas peddle is unresponsive. I've heard of people having trouble starting their car after an ews delete but not this.
Any info would help

Shogun tricks and tips for the E32 series are HERE!
What year is the car? The car has throttle by wire. That means the gas pedal is connected to the engine computer (DME in BMWspeak) via electrical wires. The DME opens and closes the throttle body. You need to get the DME scanned for codes. Post them so we can help. I bet the owner fubar’d the DME flash. If that’s the problem, go to E46Fanatics and PM Bali Dawg. He can reflash your DME via the internet is you have a laptop. He should be able to help even if you do have a laptop.
