325i starts and idles but doesn't accelerate (gas peddle unresponsive)

I am looking at a 325i that was in the process of becoming a track/drift car. The guy states the car ran fine but had a problem with the transponder, so he flashed the ecu and deleted the ews. However, now the car can't accelerate. He says it turns on and idles fine but the gas peddle is unresponsive. I've heard of people having trouble starting their car after an ews delete but not this.

Any info would help

There should be trouble codes in the DME if it is the throttle body or peddle sensor at fault.
