C'mon boys, we're slacking! F1 is back!
Throughout the offseason and testing it's seemed pretty clear that Mercedes was going to be the team to beat, once again. I was hoping Ferrari was sandbagging when they said they were going to be way off the pace, but it turns out they weren't
Qualifying results:
1. Bottas
2. Hamilton
3. Verstappen
4. Norris
5. Albon
6. Perez
7. Leclerc
8. Sainz
9. Stroll
10. Ricciardo
Damn Ferrari sucks balls...

I already wasn't very optimistic, but this is worse than I thought.
I suspect the tensions are going to get very high in the garages, with the poor performance, poorly handled Seb dismissal, and Seb's statement that he'll basically follow team orders "if they make sense"
It was more a demolition derby than a race. And should just get rid of safety cars and use virtual SC unless major accident

1. Wasn't surprised to see Vettel crash, figured after the poor qualy he'd be pushing beyond what this pig of a car is comfortable doing
2. Hamilton needs to stop crashing into poor Albon
3. It was really nice to see the Redbull looking strong (prior to Verstappen's car dying, of course)
4. Hyped for Norris to get a podium! Hell of a last lap for him to get within that 5 second penalty window. I hope McLaren continues this upward trend

Albon needs to be a little more cautious trying to pass somebody like Lewis on the outside. You know he is also late braking and going to understeer toward the outside. I don't think he should have been penalized.
I'm not sure what I feel about the penalty, do they take into account previous infractions/issues on all penalties like they do for license points?
I'm wondering if he got docked in part because of his previous collision with Albon?
Finally watched the race. Good win for Bottas. He held his own. I wouldve liked to see the MERCs fight, sucks it was called off with all the warnings. Mclaren and Force India did well, but this track punishes, too many damn retirements.
Suck for Albon, overtaking on the outside is always risky. I go for racing incident, but eh. Ferrari has indeed produced a crap car. Their engine cheat mode is no more.
Safety cars always ruin races, but the Haas was stuck off the high speed corner, they cant have marshalls there with VSC. Merc shouldve pitted on of the the last safety cars. They had almost a 10 sec advantage.
RIC must like his Mclaren move now
Can't think of a more perfect way to recap the start of the season.
