    Coolant vent process NOT actuating

    My wife’s 2007 525i blew a hose and I replaced,
    Refilled.
Now it’s overheating climbs to 240 plus

I can not get the coolant vent procedure to actuate

Is there a manual way to trigger it?

Is there a maintenance mode for the car?

Only code showing is a camshaft sensor
I know the pump is working and I can see the thermostat open.

Right. It’s not actuating when I try that process.

Check that the ignition is fully ON (not just accessory mode) when you are doing the process. I think you have to push the start button twice without the key in the ignition to get there.

BTW, a fellow member reminded me on another thread that you can activate the procedure using ISTA or INPA if you have them.

    I don’t but I suppose I need it.

I’ve replaced the pump, thermostat and electric fan
    Checked all fused
And verified there’s power on the harness.
    Still with the
    E84 code.
    Fml.

    I’m lost.
I dont know what to do next

Maybe bleed a couple more times. I’ve found if there’s been a big leak then there can be big air bubbles that take several bleeds to fix.

It’s heating up to 260° within 10 minutes. It’s almost like your thermostat is not opening.

At this point tow it to a shop and have it looked at then sell the car

    I suspect it’s a bad pump.
    I paid 120$ for it.
I ran idpa and the pump tests @ 0%
    New orelies $ 450
    Goes in tomorrow
    I’ll report back.

    New pump fixed it !

    Lesson learned
Don’t buy cheap electric water pumps.
