Anyone have any idea how I can install this in my M Coupe? I’m not sure what I’d need to do with wiring harnesses. https://www.suncoastparts.com/product/SKUCLASSIC.html

Hi,
I'd suggest finding a local, reputable and experienced car audio installer do the work properly and safely for you. With the Porsche logo it'll look out of place in a BMW!
Post pics once done !
Cheers, Dennis!
What features does the Porsche radio have that you desire most. Obviously it’s not the logo. Additionally, the electronix in modern bimmers are high integrated so it likely won’t play nice with the other electronic modules.
It’s for my E36 M coupe so no other electronics to talk to really. It’s the only single din CarPlay available and looks stock. I’d likely put a dry rub BMW logo over the Porsche logo.

I couldn't find an installation manual anywhere. It'd definitely a cool piece if you only have a single DIN slot and you don't want something with a motorized screen blocking your vents.
As you can see from the back, it's designed for the factory stereo harness to plug straight in:
So you'd need to find the pigtails from a compatible Porsche.
Maybe something like this?

Not sure exactly what kind of plugs the Porsche comes with, but they sure look like the VW plugs in the above connector.
From there, you can find info on the pinout pretty easily:

https://rennlist.com/forums/968-foru...ereo-info.html
You can then translate that to the BMW wiring colors:

The Porsche stereo isn't intended to talk to anything on the car since it's designed for the old stuff, and like you said, there's no real smarts to your factory stereo. I'm assuming you just gotta connect up Gnd, +12V constant, +12V switched, and the speaker connections and you'd be ready to party.
Hi,
The Porsche unit looks OEM in a Porsche, it doesn't look OEM for a BMW as none of the OEM head units has those twin rotary knobs with buttons along the outer edge.
Assuming you have a Z3M Coupe based on the E36 platform, then this unit has a more cohesive look to it
Unfortunately, this unit is no longer available. It's the Clarion FZ-102E - https://www.clarion.com/gb/en/produc...02E/index.html
Continetal do a rebranded range of head units - https://www.continental-automotive.c...ainment/Radios
You'd perhaps save yourself close on to $1000 if you found a used Clarion, and I think the Continental units are around $200-350 USD.
The Porsche unit has a nice margin of Porsche tax to it, perhaps $600+ of it! unless you *really* want this unit, I'd say look for other much cheaper units that look better too!
Cheers, Dennis!
For the OP, and anyone else looking to install this system, I found someone online creating a harness for the head unit.

EDIT: I've ordered one myself, will update this thread when it shows up.

WTB: Forgeline RS Comp's, PM me with info
Today’s solution to the vintage radio problem is this: https://www.crutchfield.com/p_423BRE...QR-46-DAB.html
I’ve just ordered one. Less than half the price of the Porsche radio, plus as usual Crutchfield has the proper plug and play harness for BMW (and other) applications.
