Thermostat recall

I just purchased a 2014 428i xdrive. I took it into the dealer to get it registered and the key read and I won the free thermostat contest. Dealer booked me in and replaced the thermostat for free. I looked but could not find any TSB or recalls for the thermostat. Anyone else had this experience?

Also, remember that the timing chain is extended warranty for 7 years or 70k miles. Dont take it to an independent when BMW will do it for free.

Some of the early vehicles had a recall on the thermostat. Most of the later vehicles had a warranty extension on the thermostat.
