Before moving back to the Philippines in 2012, I sold Shifty and Duke and everything else BMW.
After 8 years, I’m back in the game.
Fellow enthusiast Bernard graciously sold to me his 78 316i. It’s not in great shape right now, but it will be brought back to life, most likely with an M50 or other engine swap, given the lack of period correct SOHC engines here.
A pic as a starting point.

Welcome back. Those turn signals look kinda weird. Any clue what they are?

Welcome back

What a blast from the past
Welcome back!!

Just secured a non-Vanos M50, 5-speed transmission, and LSD... along with the rest of the E36 sedan it’s attached to.
My builder is excited that he’ll get to weld shit together.

UPDATE: I managed to get the services of a racecar builder who has done some prior BMW builds (E36, E46).
After extensive discussion, the plan is to keep the exterior stock, while upgrading the drivetrain to a Non-Vanos M50, 5-speed manual transmission, and an LSD.
I have also been able to be able to source an E36 parts car with the donor drivetrain. My builder said he would be able to do the fabrication required to install the drivetrain into the E21.
Now, I need to source an E21 6cyl instrument cluster. Any leads would be appreciated. Thanks!

Not slammed I think. My inspiration for the build is Munich Icons https://munichicons.be/

Any recommendations for front and rear spring rates, given the M52 engine swap?
Does anyone have ‘77 Front Brake Calipers for sale?
I continue to be amazed by our global E21 Legion community.
My calipers are on the way from Greece to Germany, and I should get them in the Philippines via sea freight relatively soon as sea freight goes. Air freight will likely cost more than the calipers itself.
The calipers will actually go into a different E21. It will go into an 82 318i originally sold in Japan. I’m taking delivery of it next week.

UPDATE: I'm now looking for a Getrag 265/5speed
I stumbled upon a 745i, the one with the M106 or basically a turbocharged M30B34, but it has an automatic transmission. I'm looking at swapping in the M106 into the white E21.
If you know of a spare Getrag 256/5 that's lying around, please let me know!
Really nice car! I like it!!! Congratulations
