    F01 Oil Consumption

knowing that these F01s eat a lot of oil due to bad valve stems will the car let me know if there is low oil or no oil like an indicator or warning? I would hate to find out by the car seizing any help would be appreciated thanks!

The engine is equipped with an oil level sensor. It should alert you when the oil level is low. BMW issued a bulletin years ago stating to add two quarts, and not just one, when the low oil level light shows up on an N63 equipped vehicle.

Hello, I have a 2009 BMW 750li. When I try and check my oil with the Idrive, the system say "inactive", so I cannot check my oil. Is it safe to assume that I need to have the oil sensor replaced? Thanks for your help. Bill
