E38 lugs..... Yep, makes sense..... you buy E38 mParallels, you gotta match them up with E38 lugs... Ok...

One more thing, Why would you go for 235 on the fronts, and 265,s on the rear, when you can go 245/275 for pretty much the same amount of money, none of that stretched kiddie tire look, better handling, and make sure you don’t skimp on those E38 lugs.

Yes it was on the same link I posted above. Click on the lug nut part number and it references the other chassis that uses the same lug nut.

You’re not hearing me, You had to look it up?!!? They’re lugnuts, they’re the same through the different models of our era until the newer pieces of junk came out and went to 14mm. But you do get new ones in the right lengths depending on what size spacers you’re going with.

My former 540iT with staggered e38 mpars run with adapters. Local spots were charging 90 bucks a rim to have them bored out so I opted to go with adapters instead

Would they look stretched? That's the recommended size, right? 245/275 HAS to be more expensive though (have not started pricing tonight), I don't want the stretched look obviously though. Damn 525iT M54 would take 1 min to hit 60 mph with that kinda rubber lol...

And on the question of would they look stretched, yes they would, a little bit, the fronts call for 245’s, The rear E38 M pars Are 9.5” wide, a 275 looks perfect on them, more squared on a 9” E39 M par, a 265 will work, but it will be stretched, I don’t believe in stretched tires, they become kiddie hackery to me. Guess that’s the price I have to pay since I am a traditional old school fart. I go for the handling, why hold It back? So what if your 525 won’t spin the rear wheels, you’ll spend less money. On my 540, I’m buying two rear 275/35/18’s every year. It’s getting old.

    So I should just price out The O.E. E38 Style 37 Staggered spec Tires? 245/40/18 F, 275/35/18 R.
I wanna do it right, But I dont want to have to buy spacers/ and/or rub.. Drinking tonight hasn't helped my thought process lol

I'm thinking these wheel lugs will work? The locking one's 1 per wheel are 2mm longer? Would that make sense?

Reeky, E38 size tires are too tall, E38’s have larger wheel arches, it was a much heavier car, the tires they used had a taller sidewall, can’t remember the size. The E38 M pars are 18” diameter, same as E39 Mpars, get E39 spec tires, 245/40/18 and 275/35/18, we brought up the spacers because since you were originally talking going square 9” all the way around, you would have needed spacers definitely on the front, otherwise the rim and tire would rub on the strut. The link you gave for the lock lugs from ECS doesn’t work, and when I tried to go check it out anyway, it was a link to an empty checkout page on ECS. Whatever, as long as they are the proper lug, made for BMW, what were those, M12 x 1,5 x 25mm? A couple extra millimeters will be fine. In case you ever decide you want to space out the fronts with 15mm spacers, I went with H&R bolts from FCPeuro, M12x1.5x40mm. Personally, I don’t understand why BMW had the front wheels so far inboard on the E39’s. So , I never saw which lug locks you were looking at, you know you can get oem locks from BMW for $75.

Lets not confuse the e38 vs e39 anymore. You can use your stock e39 lug nuts and run e39 tire specs

    245 40 18 on the front and 275 35 18 on the rear.

I believe I ran 235/40/18 and 265/35/18. Ran this setup because I had these tires from a prior car

Did you feel like the tires were stretched? It looks completely normal in your picture

Why couldn't I run bmw recommended tire size for the 2001 740i Sport w/ Style 37's?

    https://www.tirerack.com/tires/TireS...dex=0#allTitle

Or bmw recommended tire size for the 03 540i Sport

    https://m.tirerack.com/tires/TireSea...dex=0#allTitle

A bit Less money to have to spend...

Yep, I’m a big Continental Fan, their motorcycle tires suck though.... But yep, they sent me an email letting me know that they are giving you a $70 credit card back for buying a set. Ends pretty soon too, you got in there just in time. I love the DWS06’s, thought their regular DWS’s were great, but the newer ones are so much quieter. And they grip really good too!
