    ///M Pars for my Touring

I'm thinking I may have to treat my once semi neglected daily 2003 Sport Pack 525iT to my my favorite wheels ever offered on the E34, E39 and E38.
I have spent a lot of of money and time bringing this thing back up to snuff during the "Plague" lol.
My question is if I do take this $$$ plunge, should I do staggered or non??
While I like the look of more lip and meat in the rear, let's face facts, the M54 doesn't have enough power to begin with and will be bogged down even more with the staggered lol.Plus you can't rotate obviously.. People with a similar set-up please chime in? Staggered and non staggered 18" wheel peeps!
    Thanks!

Why not e39 18x9 rear wheels all the way around? E38s will work too but they are 8.5 wide and the center bore is 72.56 vs the 74.1 on the e39...

Too Expensive/heavy between tires and wheels.. If I had a 540it, maybe justifiable

    E38 rears are 9.5” wide, not 8.5.

Rickydoo, I’m running squared 9” style 66’s <<< 17”, on my 528 wagon, 255/40/17 Conti DWS tires, definitely better road feel. And I’m not getting that feeling of initial understeer from the front end fast into a turn, while the rear is getting better traction, I never liked that, even my 540 which is on staggered style 65’s. Just because your 525 doesn’t have that much power, you will still benefit from much better handling. A squared set of style 37 9” rears to me would look awesome.

I run E38 Mpars (hubs bored to E39 dimensions) with tires in M5 sizes on my 528iT. No fit issues at all, and looks great (in my opinion anyway).

I agree, but short of buying 4 New 9" 37's, I'd be searching forever...

Well, I found a reasonably priced source. Wonder if I would have fitment rubbing issues with 9" rears at all 4 corners? With 265/35R18 rubber... Hmmm

Dont the e38 front ET13 offset sit in a little too far on the e39? Do you run spacers on the front?

Just can't decide if i want to go least expensive route with 8" width square setup (have a flawless set I can get for $1200), standard staggered (Flawless But $1500) (Can't Rotate and more $$$ rear tires), or EXPENSIVE 9" on all 4 corner's (Flawless $1600 and Obviously wider Tires all around will be the main added expense)

Style 37's Just make these e39's POP! Obviously Style 65's also but, I like them best on cars with an S62 lol...

No spacers. They're fine as far as I'm concerned. Some others might prefer the wheels to stick out more, but they're not rubbing so I'm good.

For me yes...I’m running 10mm spacers up front. I tried 12.5mm prior and they rubbed.

With my 9”style 66’s, I’m running 15mm spacers all the way around and it looks just perfect. The fronts will rub on the strut without the spacers. I would think that it would be the same for the mpars.

people gonna hate me but I have never been a fan of the m-pars on the e38 sport or the e39 sport. Too cliche for me. I did like the 'original' m-pars though...the Style 66's. Plus you always saw those 18" m-pars bent to $#!t due to the roads up here. The 66's held up much better.

But...my $.02 on that is $.02 too high as it relates to what you like and how you want your ride to look.

rickadootrd - anyways...I dig the direction you are going but for some reason if you want to go the snotwagon route, but staggered and not square like his, then I have a set of staggered 17" Style 66's that I am going to be letting go of. I no longer have Frau Christine and have run slap out of e39's to use them on.

I found an e38 staggered set for $600 locally...
    https://offerup.co/bwewZi0296

I know you're not local but they can be found for a decent price. My friend has a set of genuine e39 mpars for sale as well but i think one rear had a small crack but never and he recently had it repaired. 18" Style 32s would also look great!

*Those ones sold fast thanks for the link!

Well, I think I'm going factory E38 Staggered ///M Par route bored to E39 spec (New in Box) never mounted after being bored out (Scored an unpassable deal from a STL BMW CCA friend).. Question is What size tires do I run, with the different E38 wheel widths in comparison to the E39 . I Guess just factory E38 tire sizes for F&R? Don't want crazy wide rubber/ or rub issues.

I would think you should still be able to run factory e39 sizes. Here is a realoem link that shows the different offsets between the 2...

    https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...diagId=36_0189

    https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...diagId=36_0421

E38 front ET13 vs E39 front ET20 may cause the wheel to sit in the fender a little more but e39 tires size will still work...

Here is what tire rack shows for staggered 18" tire sizes for your touring...

    You can run M5 sizes with no problems. 235/40/18 F, 275/35/18 R.

I run 275/35 rear and 245/35 front on factory E38 Mpars. I have 10mm spacers all around. No issues.

THink I'll go with with these sizes
    FRONT AXLE 235/40ZR18

    REAR AXLE 265/35ZR18

My other question is, will I need E38 wheel lugs? I want to buy brand new OE with a locking one on each wheel
