White smoke on startup after sitting for a day or so...

Turbo issues? I read somewhere that BMW had made this a warranty extension thing.

    Forgive my vague post.

Yea the turbo of course suck oil into them, there were probably extended warrantys after the issues was properly disgnoised. but somebody needs to look into it , does it smoke does it smoke on every start up or only on the first start of the day.

First start of the day if it’s sat in the garage for more than 24 hrs.

If it really bothers you then either you or a shop is going to have to diagnose it

Post the last seven digits of your VIN and I can see if you have the warranty extension on the turbo oil feed line. Although, I think it applied to N20 only and not N55 equipped cars.

I just got my 2013 N20 back with 102k miles and it blew the smoke on startup. I was convinced it was the oil filler line to the turbo and glad to report it was covered with no questions asked on the extended warranty at BMW of Bellevue. In October I got a drivetrain malfunction error but it was running perfectly ok (no smoke or loss of power). Recently it started to give me the smoke screen on startup so decided to get it checked.

Back in 2016 at 52k miles the dreaded oil pump failed and wrecked the engine. At that time there was no extended warranty but they worked and got it covered (took 6 weeks to fix).

At this point very happy with the local dealer and love the car!
