PRICE CUT on ALL FABRICS
Offering the best prices on the best quality reproduction fabrics!
Shifter linkage inialized with backup just incase it didnt work out.. it worked.
Used bmw shifter cable, and transmission backet as main parts.
The backup option, similar to lokar, homemade of course!
L84 waterpump with custom tensioner adapter, and custom power steering brackets I designed
In progress shots of the aluminum power steering brackets. 3/8 alumimum plate
Sawsall with a wood blade to do a close rough cut and then finish with a wood router with an aluminum carbide cutting bit... what a mess!
Clint
Update with brackets finished and installed. Need to redo one spacer, forgot the pump has a smaller recess... but other than that, just need to get ththe right size belt, and have the tensioner spacer machined out.

Getting closer
Fuel system parts ordered.
Found a slick fuel pump holder
Ill be using a gs342 pump, this was just a TI 400 i think.. came out of a f10
Its for the e46 m3 crowd.. i called the company, Radium and asked for the outer diameter of the pump and compared it to mine. Exact same. Ordered one, and ebay seller was a few hours away and got that sucker the next day lol.
The little bubble/ring is a smidge larger than x5 but snapped into the holder
Started on upgrading the fuel lines to 3/8.. i had only a little bit left from a project and thought it was enough.. man was it close
Over bent some, went back and tweaked it..
And just a little short...
Not bad for 1st time trying to replicate a line that fits into 3 line holders
This was in 3/8 steel, I feared the alimuimum would fatigue after the ditting meets the rubber line due to vibrations, so used steel
Got a game plan for the next time when the summit racing order shows up.
I also turn down the o.d. of 4.0 bar regulators to fit the o.e. e46/e39 filters... i had bought a wix covette filter regulator at first.. was crap and failed within weeks at full fuel pump pressure. So searched for regulators found one, machined it to fit and now keeps fitment the same if 5/16 lines is good for the engine. Been running this setup in my 5.7 ls1 e39 for 6 years

gesus, its been a Texas hot minute... literally in Texas its hot hot ... anyway, first start was a fail... after performing a proper engine oil priming with pressurized oil system, I forgot to install the bank 1 and 2 coil fuses... lol.. well, after coils gets power, it fires up
I did manage to get tap shift resistor setup wired plug and play with the factory BWM shifter... bummer thing is, schematics fail to show the selector shares the ground with the sport mode ground... short story, when wired it to GM tap shift the leds dont.. trouble shoting it and foudn out they share the same ground...its ground is now power... so, for now until i remove the shifter and figure out where / how to separate and ground the selector lever sensor and ground it ill just unplug it so it doesnt mess up..
Still got things to check off the list:
remove engine harness and loom
weld up bung in gm power steering reservoir
exhaust
bmw fuse box power mod

removed engine harness, loomed it, reinstalled it. Still need to finish the ebox bracket that will actually mount the ecu and fuse box.
performed the fuse box modification to feed battery + to fuse ox via 6mm eyelet cable
passenger manifold to factory resonator exhaust fabricated, driver side next weekend
imageshack app not working at this time, heck, google apps doesn't even have it anymore .. while I can log in via desktop, picture are on my phone.. whenever the app gets up and going, I will update with some pictures.

Finally got around to finishing this up, Drives good, need to do some tuning on the MAF and TAP shift. still need to button up some other little things aswell.
I am getting "Engine Failsafe Prog" displayed on the cluster. is it just a coding fix in NCS to disable?
thanks
also getting DSC light on, RPM rate sensor, fault iirc shows to be open circuit. Just removed center console, checked power and ground. only other 2 wires is can bus. I just oscilloscope signals, its getting signal to the connector. Wire tested DSC to RPM sensor.. all good. ANyway to code it out? 99% sure DSC light was not on before swap
