Hi,
I am on 330i 2018 from Feb 2018. 3 years lease ends up in Feb 2021. Previously kept e-90 for 7 years (2 leases 4 and then 3 years).
Thinking about buying my car after lease end. I know it still a bit far...
By the end of the lease the car will have not more than 45K KM.
I would like to ask people who did relatively big mileage on this F30 model...
What are the problem and repairs happened on long run?
Thanks.
The B46/48 engines seem to be fairly solid. Haven't seen many issues out of them. An occasional check engine light from either the fuel tank vent valve, or the other venture hose connected to it.
Oh, there is a coolant vent hose that runs from the cylinder head to the main expansion tank. Those crack and break off at the fitting on the cylinder head on a regular basis. The new part appears to be slightly different, so maybe it's less prone to break. It's an easy cheap fix, but could leave you stranded if it breaks off while driving and causes a coolant loss.

There is no magical number of maximum miles. With proper maintenance and repairs when needed, an engine should last indefinitely unless something catastrophic happens.
