in my 2014 bmw z4 35i with idrive when im listen to a radio station the volume coming from my right and left side is equal but if i play threw my iphone in bluetooth or usb port the volume from my left side is at least 3 times louder then what i get out of my right side any ideas what this could be from. Hopelessly lost.

In addition, if it still occurs with another phone, it's time to begin trouble shooting. Find out which oem audio modules/setup is in the car. I'm not so familiar with them, so perhaps there's a separate bluetooth module? if so, swap it for a known working one and retry.
Post this question also on the relevant Z4 sub section to see if other's have experienced the same and have more ideas/pointers for you
