E36 w/230k Daily Driver - Needs suspension refresh new tires and general suggestions

    Hello,

I have a 97 E36 328is and now I need to get new tires and I figured now was a good time to get new suspension parts and also do some general all around maintenance.

My drivers side ear tire wore unevenly during this last batch but I was able to get around ~30k miles out of the tire.

I have some Firestone Valero 225/45/17.

I haven't really replaced any suspension parts except Bilstein suspension and that's about it.

    So my first question is:

    1. Does anyone know why the tires could wear unevenly? I added new RTAB when I got the tires, and I have lifetime alignment with Firestone. But the inner rear tires are wearing unevenly.

    2. What suspension parts should I change? I kinda drive her hard and my commute is about 80 miles a day (combine there and back)

    3. What do y'all think of rockauto.com, fcpeuro.com, pelicanparts.com, bimmerworld.com, etc Which is the most affordable site for suspension? Also, I was considering going back to Firestone for tires or going to Costco.

    4. What suspension parts should I get? Should I purchase one of those suspension refresh kits? And if so, what brand should I get? I heard üro isn't that great

    Thank you,

    Any thoughts on these:

    1. Rock Auto - $159

    2. Parts Geek - $150

    3. FCP - $299

    4. Well I don't really have a 4th, but please let me know what y'all suggest.

    Thanks,

FCP is also my go-to for quality parts.

I'm working on piecing together parts as well for an E36 that and the best bet, if you have time, is to part search over multiple sources. For example I got Rein (Made in Turkey) swaybar links for half of the normal euro sites, but not all their brands will have the same quality. FCP lists the COO in parts so that can be helpful. If you can, go for the FCP.

FCPEuro.com is my first choice, go-to for parts.
When not available thru them, then I turn to http://FuriousMethod.com to compare pricing.
