BMW Diagnostic Software for Windows 10 Download

What is the most user friendly program for windows 10, that can clear faults, code, diagnose, etc. I don't have a cd drive on any of my computers so it will need to be a downloadable program. Free or Not. Just want the BEST

    Thanks in advance!

It wil work fine on Windows 10. It's pirated ISTA, but ISTA does run on Win10 from BMW, so it would work fine.

Do you have a program that can open .zip files or .rar files? If you don't then you will get a message like what you got.

I does work on windows 10 as is, you just need to download something like 7-zip to extract the files for install. Just keep in mind that the suite of programs that come from bimmergeeks is the best set up you can have however you can do some serious damage if you dont know what you are doing. May I ask why you are leaning towards a laptop setup over a handheld scanner?

I want to be able to clear faults, code, adjust SLS, etc. My understanding Handheld scanner computers are very expensive? I have a generic code obd2 scanner that isn't much help for technical stuff...

CARLY runs on IPhone and Android.
Pro tools and Bimmercode run on Android

Their costs and their abilities are easily available on the internet.

INPA is diagnostics only. ISTA D and ISTA P are BMW software that can diagnose and code any part of your car. INPA runs easily on XP up to Win10. ISTA runs on win7 up to windows10. It might run on XP. I'm not sure.

When I was running my xp machine ista was not compatible, that's why I now run it all on windows 10 and the xp machine is just there as a back up.

And flyfish is on what I think is a better path for you, Carly or Protools depending on what you use for a phone is a very good option and would do what I think you are looking for. Dont get me wrong it's no replacement for a laptop setup but for ease of use and affordability it's a great option. My understanding is Protools can even accomplish some coding in a user friendly platform if you ever needed that

Carly is pretty user friendly but I think ProTool is more powerful and can do more.

I would go that route, both would handle the requirements in the OP + more.

Getting ISTA and INPA running on a Windows 10 machine isn't the worst thing on the planet, but it takes some knowledge. Also, Win10 has more robust virus software built in, and you may have to turn off certain anti-viral/malware programs in order to get software properly loaded. Simplest method is to get a Win7 machine and dedicate it to car things. Thus far, I've sold about 100 laptops with INPA, DIS, NAV-CODER, WinKfp, NCS Expert, PA soft etc running Windows 7. Due to the demand for ISTA i'm moving to another type of setup for sale. If anyone is just looking for a regular scan tool with checkbox functionality for IKE, LCM and certain ZCS functions, easier to get PA soft(does't cover all chassis though, just the BEST years lol)
