    Can I delete this?

I’m in the process of simplifying and stripping one of my e36’s of components. I’m not sure if anything I remove will have unintentional consequences such as warning lights, car won’t start, loss of necessary functions. I will be posting pictures of the things I want to remove piece by piece.

First item, AC controller. Obviously, I’m deleting AC
If I remove the AC controller and plugs/wiring to the other end, Will I have any unintended consequences?

On board computer, any unintended or undesired consequences with unplugging and deleting wiring?

The climate control removal will not have any undesired conseguences.. But removal of the obc can cause no start and electrical problems.

My obc has been unplugged for years with no issues. I'm not sure about cutting the wires out. But the car will run just fine with it unplugged.

The obc is part of the anti theft security system i think.
I had a freinds e36 that would not start until the 18button was plugged in. . So i assumed. Maybe something to do with the code that i dont remember what it does?
Nobody would recertify these machines after somebody screwed with them without any visibility into what they did.

HONK! HONK! Clown car coming through!

You can put a temp code in with the 18 button unit to prevent the car from starting. Maybe disconnecting it does the same thing.

Gave away my BMWs, driving a VW and an Audi now.

Great, I’ll be retaining my obc for now until I figure out a reliable way to delete it.
