Dropped broken drill bit into engine bmw n54

    Hi I'm new to this group. I drive a 2009 135i e82.

I started doing the valve cover gasket change when I realised I snapped two valve cover bolts. As I was trying to get them out I broke a 2mm drill bit and can't find it.

I joined this group to see of anyone would know if this is a major issue. I've tried looking everywhere and had no luck.

The piece is broken so it is no bigger than 2mm by 20mm

Well you better snoop around with a magnet if it went down an oil return hole maybe it's in the oil pan

I've tried with a magnet and a flexible wire.

Should I try get a magnet down all the way through a oil return?
