    Shift Knobs

Hi! Hope everybody is doing well. My first post on here . About a year ago, I bought a 1998 M Roadster in titanium silver and imola red interior. There was an alternative shift knob available back in the late 90s/early 2000s that I am trying to find. it was an all aluminium shift knob, the sixth one on the link below. I can't seem to find it anywhere. Does anybody have one they would sell and/or does anybody know where I might be able to find it?

Welcome and good luck. Presumably, that knob would fit any BMW of the period, so you may want to post WTB in the classifieds section here to ask if anyone has one available.

Ive actually never seen that knob before. I wonder if its real metal or a painted metal-like finish

It's aluminum. Originally had a 2000 M Roadster that was purchased new at Competition BMW in Greenwich. Bought that knob from them and had that knob on the car.

If it’s OE would it be on realoem.com?

Yes, that was the aluminum shift knob available through BMW. Unfortunately, none of those parts are still available through BMW. Here it is in realoem.com:

Here's more info from MZ3.net which was and still is a great source of information from back in the Roadfly forum days:

The usual online retailers all show the part as no longer available. Maybe somebody has some new old stock to be found via Google searching for the part number.

He had the dealership since we were kids and sold his ownership stake around 2007 right before they built the new service center in Port Chester.
