I purchased this car in November with relatively unknown maintenance history. It was running well and as far as the PO knew, rod bearings were original. I've been chasing an oil leak for a few months and put off changing the oil until I had it isolated. After changing the PCV and VCG, the leak had slowed to a mild seep. I went after the oil filter housing gasket next and so had to drain the oil. The gasket turned out to not be the source of leaking so I left it alone.

I got the report back yesterday and it looks pretty good after about 5k miles. I have a set of Randy's coated bearings on my shelf but I'll just happily drive for a while.
