Firewall grommet

[1986series6]

I'm looking for the grommet in the cowl that's under the windshield wiper motor.

I can't seem to locate a part # on Real oem. When the tuner replaced the grommet going to the ecu he had to measure the
old one and find one with the same specs.

Does anyone have a part # or has anyone replaced this grommet. Any info on finding a replacement will be appreciated.

The grommet comes as part of the wiring harness and is not available separately.You will have to get creative or hit the junk yards and find a good one on a harness or a butchered harness someone may have, slit the bottom and slide it off. Then put it on yours and seal the slit with silicone. Easiest way before getting creative.

Worst case, make one from a wad of 3M strip caulk.

Jody's on track. Get as close an OD grommet as you can. Slit it and fit it over the harness. You can pack the ID with strip calk and form it to look really clean If you are somewhere near a decent size town there should be a shop specializing in seals and most probably different types of grommets. I have a couple of them in PHX so I know they exi1st
