Clever! Have a picture of it all put back together? Is the radar detector mounted below the rearview mirror mount?

I have been thinking of installing a dash cam and have read that using power from the overheads lights or garage door circuit is an easy source of power. Doesn't look too hard to do this...

If you don't mind sharing, where did you get that mount?

Edit: I just thought that this won't work with the rain sensing covers on the mirror bracket

I tried "comparing" 2 units years ago (an Escort and a 2nd Escort or V-1, don't remember) but they interfered with each other. Guess they are better shielded now.

Franco90, thanks for the tip of using the 3 wire plug rather than every other thread that said use th 4 wire plug which didn't work in my car. 2015 F33 435i x drive convertible. red on the left and green on eh right of the plug gave me constant 12 v. I can remember to turn it off and I really don't want it on until I get out of Manhattan

Thanks, I watched all the you tube videos and your use of the 3 wire plug were key. I am using the suction cups and am perfectly happy with them. I have a camera and sensor and no room for the mount
i have mine 1/2 inch below the visor, highest possible position and visor works.
