AC Expansion Valve Replacement MY: 2000

Hope everyone is safe out there and had a great Memorial Day weekend. I had a bad AC compressor (low high side) so I bought everything to service the system: AC compressor, dryer, expansion valve and pressure switch. When I looked at the TIS it looks like is meant for the cars without the re-circulation filters as what the pictures show don't match my car.
I've searched but haven't found an E38 specific video/DIY for this work. I'm pretty sure someone here must have done this is in the past and can shed some light upon this poor soul.
Temps have been climbing here in FL and I need my AC back!

Nobody has changed the AC expansion valve in their cars?

i just serviced my entire A/C system in my 2001..all e38's have recirculation filters.
As long as the old valve matches the new one then you are good.....

I just need to know how to get to it as I can't see it! Is it behind the recirculation filters?
