99 z3 radio?

My sony head unit that worked fine in my 99 MZ3 coupe won't produce any sound in my 99 non M coupe, every screen function works fine,just no sound, tried the usual tapping and wire wiggling?,wouldn't the adapter plug be identical for both 99 Coupes?

Was the existing audio system in the non-M Z working? The usual culprits are a bad amp or a missing 12VDC “turn on” signal that’s sent by the head unit to the amp.

Absolutely this, and check the fuse on your factory amp.
