    E87 Airbag fault

I recently had the airbag and seatbelt light appear on my dash and scanned it with INPA, the following code is shown.

93BE - Switch for front passenger airbag deactivation.

The car does not have an airbag switch, I have also looked in NCS Dummy after dumping with NCS Expert and POS_1 (Passenger Airbag Off Switch 1) is not enabled.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Clear the fault and see if it comes back.

I have tried to clear the error memory but the error remains.

I’m wondering if the “switch” is electronic in that it uses input from the passenger seat occupancy sensor to determine whether it should activate the passenger side airbag circuits. Is there a code for occupancy sensor?

No there isn't. It's just reported 2 errors in memory, both 93BE.

Probably worth adding that I only bought this car a week ago and it had this airbag light on when I went to view it, the dealer replaced the airbag module and the car was fine when I drove it away however when I got home and started it up again the light came on.

Could it be possible that an incorrect airbag module from a newer car has been fitted or are they all compatible across the E87 range or the ECU is faulty or that one of wires is faulty (shorting to ground maybe)?

I doubt it as the light went out after the module was replaced.

So I have sourced the switch from eBay, connected it up, enabled POS_1 is NCS and I'm still getting the same error code and unable to clear it. Any ideas?
