I currently have the front seats removed from my '01 Sport.
While I was removing the seats, as normal I moved them forward and back several times in order to get to the floor bolts.
When doing this, I noticed that the driver's seat makes a noticeable grinding/groaning sound when moving either way. But the passenger side was relatively quiet when moving.
Before I reinstall, does anybody have any suggestions for maintenance on the mechanical part of the seats? maybe some grease in the right spot as a preventive measure?
I've searched, and can see plenty of advice on improving seat appearance, and twisted seat fixes. But there doesn't seem to be any discussion on mechanical seat maintenance.
I'm interested in giving things a spray of WD40 or similar if that will help. But at the same time, I don't want to eff something up through ignorance.

Clean the tracks and gears with brake cleaner and the give them a nice shot of white lithium grease.
