Looking for Idle Control Valve L-shape two prong connect VDO part 1 286 688

Hello

Looking to replace the idle control valve on my 83 633csi VDO part # 1 286 688. Any guidance for a well regarded/working used part or reasonably priced new unit is much appreciated.

Two prong, two ports as pictured below.

Have you tried to clean it, usually can get it up and running with some brake cleaner. Also, use the VDO number. You will find this was used on Mercedes, Audi, VW etc. Not sure why when you search for BMW parts, they are more costly then their identical twins used for other German cars.

Hello Rob:

Thanks for your reply, I did clean with some carb cleaner and spray through with WD40. Let dry over night. Still no apparent function from the valve. Checked voltage at connection roughly 11.5 volts.

Thank you for the link, will look via the VDO # as well.
