I have a 2007 BMW 525i and I'm replacing the alternator. There is a long skinny hose that comes across the alternator and the top two alternator screws mount through a bracket and then the hose continues to the back to a connection close to the firewall. In taking the alternator out I will need to replace this hose has the tip broke off where it mounts towards the back. I've attached the photo link to hopefully help identify the hose I'm talking about.

I found the part number on the hose. Is actually the Vacuum Pipe which is part of the brake system. Just need to replace tubing on end.
I agree the end hose may only come as an assembly with the plastic tube
