VIN Decoder

I have just bought a 2009 X3 for my daughter. I would like to find out more about the details of the car. Could someone recommend a VIN decoder that I could use to get the particulars like options, engine specs, etc.?

running the vin at the dealer will give you the build sheet and options list

The above is true...just by putting the key in what seemed like the toothbrush charger...the computer spit out a couple of pages of info at the SA's desk (the key was an oem key tho)
