As the title states... hoping someone has these sitting around in their garage:
1) Harman Kardon (pre-2000) Amp - part # 65128399683
2) CD43 head unit

CD43 solved. Still need an amp though!
I'll have an amp here soon as I'm gutting my HK system for an aftermarket one. Not sure the going rate for these amps. Shoot me a PM

White is Right, Steel Grey is OK, but Estoril is the only color that truly matters.

Yes, it works, kinda. An aftermarket single din head unit is also a good choice.
I got 3 HK amps in a box I can put my hands on easy, but no one really wants one.
I also have a CD changer and a CD43 in a box.
Plus I have a minty Genuine BMW Branded HK Traffic Pro and a CD changer for that too sitting somewhere wrapped up in foam.
Personally, I'm running the JL XD700 in two different cars with old-school A/D/S speakers and a sony pre-amp headunits and I'm pretty happy with it.
If you can find Daniels fantastic write-up you can wire up an aftermarket amp in the trunk without touching any other part of the car and be much happier with the sound quality.
The key is to order a Metra 89-30-3900 and then sand down the edges carefully to fit into our single din slot and that pushes the headunit out so it looks much better in the stock dash.

Short answer - I'm restoring a 99 M Roadster that was sitting for a couple years, and the stock amp and CD43 were dead. I'm not looking to upgrade the car, just return it to a very nice stock car.

There are hundreds of CD43s on ebay, you can get a landrover or whatever model and swap your defunct units faceplate.
You want to spend more than a grand on perfect parts then let me know.
