SOLD
Hey everyone, I have a rare set of E23 Suspension Techniques (ST) sway bars available for purchase!
These will fit early model rear subframes only. The mounting points for the rear bar are different than the late model style subframe. The subframe change seems to be right at the 1980/81 production date split, these sways came off a late 1980 745i
Each bar has 3 sets of mounting holes for dialing in your suspension to your preference. The front bar is 27mm and the rear is 22mm. The front bar appears to be the same shape and mounting style as all other years of E23.
The front bar uses the stock E23 end links. There is a set included but they are worn out and should be replaced. This is a cheap and easy part to buy.
Poly bushings, mounting brackets, and hardware included. One rear bolt snapped during removal and will need replacement, but it is an off the shelf item. One front mounting bolt has gone missing, but it uses the standard E23 sway bar mount bolts so you would use the ones already on your car.
The finish on these is pretty good, there are some dings and chips in the powder coat as pictured. The bottom of the front bar has some scrapes and road rash on it. Nothing that affects the way they bolt up. These could be easily refinished by a powdercoater or used as-is.
If you have any questions or are curious about which style subframe you haven in your car please don't hesitate to message me. Shipping on these will be a bit spendy, as it is a large package and weighs 40 lbs. USPS actually had decent prices, depending on how far from Oregon you are. I can also ship with Greyhound Package Express if you have a station nearby, they are usually significantly cheaper, but take much longer. Please contact me for a shipping quote.
Price for the pair is $450 + shipping.

Thanks!
