E70 US to ECE

Hey there,

I am from Germany and I got an E70 4,8i from USA.
I need to activate rear fog light (NSL). I already assembled a new light switch with rear fog light button. Now i want to change VO from US to ECE and recode the car.

The current VO is:

W FE83 E70 N62B48 LL US XENONLICHT //(N62B48O1) //X5 4,8I LL US 10/06 - 09/09 261kW

An in the E70AT.000 i found:

W FE81 E70 N62B48 LL ECE //(N62B48O1) //X5 4,8I LL 12/06 - 09/09 261kW

Ok so far so good. I deleted FE83 and add FE81 to CAS and FRM. Then i coded the hole car with NSC. But the rear fog light did not work. Then i started Ista/p to give a try. At the beginning ista says in the VO isn't RDC and TEL/ULF. So the measures plan stoped. Also i have many errors from airbag.

I changes back to old VO (FE83) an all the Problems are gone. Why?
I only need rear fog lights. But in FRM i dont find something about that.

Can anybody help me with this?

That's not your whole VO. That's simply the type schlussel.

The VO is much longer than that.

Yes i know. But i not touched any other VO from the car. Anyway....can i activate rear fog light manually? Because this is the only thing i need to use the car in Germany.

Did you run the wire from the headlamp switch to the FRM?

No. i can do this tomorrow. But the control light in the kombi did not work when i push the button.

How do you expect the control light or the rear fogs themselves to light up if the FRM doesn't know the button is being pressed?

Thank you. I simply installed a cable betweet pin 9 from light switch to pin 14 on FRM an it work.
