Hi forum members never owned a bmw this is all new for me. Been looking at 2016 / 2017 m3 dct. The ia dealer right down the road has a very pristine 2016 dct has every option even has the carbon roof executive pack driver pack has it all except comp package, 29600 on the od. carfax clean and reports from service show its was driven somewhat modestly no plugs before 25 k and no fast turn around oil changes. Interior mint 1 small scratch on exterior, new rubber all around. My bank is hinting I should look elsewhere car should be priced around 43 to 44 k ia said the lowest they can go is 47800 should I walk or buy it what do you bmw vets think.
I brought a 2017 m3 with 32k miles (one owner) for all in total including everything for 50k flat. Personally, if it is a 2016, i expect it to be in the high 45-46k with that mileage. Mine does not have the competition package though but got the carbon fiber hood grill.. basically all the exterior except those upgraded brakes. But, i would say if the one you are looking was not owned where it was cold weather, it is a average deal. Not the greatest, but you arent get ripped off. Seems with the mileage you are just taking the car after someone lease it which is a good sign. I been looking at M3s now and then, and the same one as mine with like 45-50k miles are going for 43-47k.
I saw a 2017 M3 loaded sell for 46k... only 29k miles.
Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by hundreds of engineers that get paid thousands of dollars for something you bought at Pep Boys because your buddy who doesn't have a job told you it was 'better'?!?
I bought mine in March for $45,900. It is a 2017 with competition and executive package, 6 sp MT, and had 33k miles at the time of purchase.
