Hi, I'm in the process of rebuild a couple of RTA for my E46 (a Compact), and front bushings for RTA are simply destroyed. I was tinkering with the idea to mount uniball bushings, but average cost is north of 200 Euro... Has anybody found a very good uniball bushing decently priced (under 200 Euro)?
A second question is about the other two bushings in the RTA (upper and lower arms): is it worth the expense of installing uniball? Or could cheaper PU bushings be a sensible option?
THX for any feedback you'll give to me!
Well I wouldn’t say the ball joints in the outer positions are very expensive. €10 a piece for Meyle at Carondo https://www.carondo.com/en/car-parts...::6264344.html
Strongflex polys are €16....
As for the RTAB’s I have never had any problems with my Strongflex poly bushings. They are really easy to install too.
I also have an extra set of those Rings for the DIY monoball RTAB’s. If you pay the shipping they are yours
Just add the bearings part number 3147100005
