New 128i convert owner - screw holes in trunk question

In the left compartment under the trunk floor there are two screw holes with nothing in them in the used 2008 128i convert I bought last week. Does anyone know aht they are for or if something is missing from that portion of the under floor area?See white arrows in the attached photo.
