Swapped our 318 M42 motor out for a 328i motor and an M3 differential. Now we need the halfshafts. Will consider just about any condition. Based in the Sacramento area.
Thank you!
David
The 325 rear wheel bearing p/n 33411130617 is a 42X75X37 bearing.
The M3 rear wheel bearing p/n 33411090505 is a 45X85,05X41 bearing.
The M3 has fundamentally different set of rear trailing arms and half shafts, as well as brake assemblies.
Use your 328 differential output flanges in the M3 differential. Use your 328 halfshafts and control arms.
Research part numbers from various E36 models in www.realoem.com.

I would love to use 328 half shafts but the M3 output flanges are much larger. If we use the M3 shafts, I thought we would probably have to update the hubs too. Admittedly, I have not worked through all the ramifications yet.
Ah I get it now. If I wanted to use the M3 axles, would the M3 hubs and bearings work in my 328 trailing arms? I have a set of M3 Axles and planning to change the lower wish bone to adjustables so I should have the clearance. Or, if the output flanges need to be changed to the 328 units, then that is what I will do. Thank you for all the advise!
No. You must use M3 arms to run M3 bearings, etc.
