Okay so little backstory
I bought bmw Style 15 Rims but theyre 5x120 and the e21 is 4x100
I read some things about convertiong your e21 to 5 lug
could anyone give me a explaination how id go about converting it to 5-lug because the info im finding is very diverse.
I know E12 hubs fit infront but not which year or bearing, and what about the rear??
its a E21 323i from 1980
You have a 323, so you have the right size for the hubs up front. You’ll have to find a bearing that works for the two of them, i.e 323 inner race diameter and the e23/e12 out race diameter. The bearing exists, but you’ll have to consult realoem on that one. There is no stock bearing I know of that will make the process okay.
For the rear you either run conversion plates or graft in an e28 subframe using pieces off of your stock subframe. This means you’ll have to swap out the differential as well as potentially shorten the driveshaft. It’s not a small task. Unless you're engine swapping I don’t particularly recommend it. Conversion plates would get the job done.

As John says, front you need the hubs from a late model E12.Bearings are the same for both cars so they are plug and play. For the rears your easiest chioce is PCD conversion adapters unless you want to do the E28 subframe mod that requires more job to be done.
Here are mine!
Is Making your own hubs an option too??
Looks like someone took the time to machine new ones out of aluminum, but mainly for use in 2002's. https://www.iemotorsport.com/product...big-brake-kit/
This might also be a good source for E12 hubs: https://www.iemotorsport.com/product...heel-hubs-e12/
