Awesome work! I'm in Australia and this looks really enticing. Unfortunately exchange rates and the fact we don't have all the parts readily available like you guys in the US do means this is probably too unaffordable for us to utilise Mind you, if the 8.8 lasts forever and a one off cost to import all the gear isn't too bad, then it might be a viable solution.

Keep up the good work, i'll be following it!

    A small update!

We assembled the first unit this last week, made updates to a few of the parts to make sure they are perfect. Working with the fabrication shop to hold tighter critical tolerances.

    Axles are being manufactured.

Expecting to have formal pricing and an offering here in probably 10 days.

Do you guys not have 2015+ mustangs down there?

If it comes down to it I can setup a group order for you guys. Ship a few subframes and used differentials. “Used auto parts miscellaneous”. Should be a low import tax.

    Getting close!

    Custom axles arriving this week!

Full bolt kits are here already.

We decided to test out a local fabrication facility with a waterjet. They’ll be bringing by a kit this week and we should have the updated parts from our lazer shop too.

We will also have an estimate on pricing in the next day or two.

    Stay tuned.

Mustangs are very few and far between in Aus. Most of them would be from about 2017 or later when FORD stopped producing cars for Australia. So not sure what the 8.8 diff is in here (perhaps older Fords). But yeah certainly, once pricing is sorted out then we can do the numbers and see if I can get a few E36 guys interested to do a group buy!

Hey everybody, we have been pretty backed up the last couple months but I’d like to share our latest progress on the rear end.

We have also recently introduced our blog system on the new website, where we have been sharing details on products and builds.

The latest post on the Ford 8.8 conversion:
    https://www.22rpd.com/blog/e36-ford-...end-conversion

For those not interested in forwarding to the blog we will continue on here.

We’ve finally gotten the second production variant of the Diff kit here. We’re making the production jig to keep everything in tolerance.

Materials arriving for the jig this week so we should have the new diff installed here shortly.

Nice work. So this will only work with the 335i 6 speed trans or will this also work with the zf?

    It’ll work with anything.

Although we will have off the shelf driveshaft for the gs6.

Perfect. The more i contemplate it the more a complete overhaul is needed. I have a 210 setup with built axles and dss shaft which are strong but if I ever break anything is big money. I want to take the car to the next level and be able to launch the car off 2 step in the future and will need the peace of mind of being able to be stronger and a lot more serviceable. I'll definitely be looking into doing a gs6 swap + this rear end swap kit and just selling all my stuff to someone that doesn't drag race.

    Big power Differential/Subframe for e36

Hey guys super pleased to announce the completion of our R&D on these. 5 months of work, multiple redesigns, reworking quality and design. We have ordered 6 kits in total and worked with multiple suppliers to make these exactly what they should be: Perfect.

You can find the latest update on the blog: https://www.22rpd.com/blog/e36-ford-...on-and-pricing

An outline of what we posted there:
    ---------------------------------

Let's recap some of the kits details:

Cheap REBUILDS: Master rebuild kits on these differentials which include everything down to the bearings run about 200$

    • Lots of ratio options: Aftermarket ratios begin at 3.08 and go to 5.10 in ~0.2:1 increments.
    • Comparable weight to the 188 diff (The aluminum case option is ~75lbs)
    • Cheap replacement carriers (New LSD carriers run $177+)
    • Brand new oem differentials can be found for the $800-900 range.
    • Used differentials can be found for as little as 250$

Common factory differentials that are often found from 250-550$ include:

    • 3.73:1 Torsen Type
    • 3.15:1 standard Clutch type
    • 3.55:1 Standard Clutch type

    22RPD subframe Design features:

    • Completely redesigned and optimized subframe
    • Full 7-gauge laser cut steel construction
    • 1000 TQ launch capacity with 2:1 Safety factor
    • Retains Factory control arms, Trailing arms, and sway bars
    • Includes Poly Subframe bushings, Does not include adjustable end links
    • Improved suspension geometry, including 8.4mm of roll center correction for lowered cars
    • Fully powder-coated finish

    Preorder Pricing:

    Tier 1: F-88 subframe + installation hardware + bushings - $1100
    Tier 2: Kit as above + bare axle-shafts - $1850
    Tier 3: Tier 2 + Ford inner CV installed on axle-shafts - $2500
Tier 4: Tier 3 + fully assembled axle shafts (Inner and outer CV Joints) - $2700 W/ Core return of stock outer CV

We will be updating this blog by end of business 10/14/2020 with a link to pre-order this kit, final pictures, and exact lead-time (expected 3 weeks).

If you have any further questions please reach out to us over email: info@22rpd.com
