2006 3.0si roadster. 70K miles.
So I am getting the dreaded trifecta dash lights on the console.
My Foxwell NT510 showed all wheel speed sensors were fine, but the steering angle sensor (SAS) was not responding at all. When I brought up the real-time display with my son driving the car, it said it was stuck at 1440°.
So how much of a pain-in-the-arse is it to install a new steering wheel angle sensor? I did a little research, and it appears some people had better success with removing it through the firewall?
Thanks
edit: sorry missed the part in your original post where you said it's not responding at all, so ignore my second part.
I believe certain OBDII readers/devices can go through a steering angle sensor calibration. Maybe see if it's possible to re-calibrate your SAS at a local shop or something before buying a new one.

Yea the first thing would be to reset the steering angle sensor, other wise off comes the steering wheel and I believe it's right where the switches are and it would have to be coded
