Sorry to revive an old thread, but I have a 1988 Vixen XC (the grand touring version). Super fun, and actually does get 30 MPG. It has the same 5 speed transaxle as the Delorean. The TD and XC versions had the M21, while the later SC had a Chevy V6 with an auto (ewww)
