2016 X1 need help for engine light on with P0446 code

Hi to all,
I have this car for 1-1/2 months, the car didn't use everyday. It shown engine light on when i started the car, but it run fine without any problem at all. I use my OBD reader and it said P0446- Evaporative Emission system Vent control circuit pending. I Googly the problem and it said may be the gas filler cap didn't closed properly without a click sound. I double check the filler cap is closed properly then I erased the fault but it come back on again after couple days later.

I appreciate for any help to solve this problem please.

the fault is for the evap system, fuel tank vapor management, gas vapors are kept in the system, when you start the car, not every time, the dmtl pump runs a pressure test on this system, if the gas cap was not on it would set a fault for large leak, it can set faults for small and fine leaks. So your fault appears to be vent control circuit. The purge valve when it is instructed opens and allows vapors in the system to be bought in to the intake manifold system to be consumed and or it might be the dmtl pump. Either way somebody is going to have to trouble shoot the system

Thank you for your explanation. I brought a new tank filler cap and didn't solved the problem.
I will book for service with the dealer to see what's the problem.

The car was fixed with no check engine light On after BMW dealer found Tank Vent Valve and Venturi Nozzle defective. Replaced it and good to go.

Hello Vicpat88, I have the same code P0446 on for my 2017 X1, how much did you pay at BMW to get this fixed? I also have P0172 code too, don't know how much it's going to cost me but it seems my fuel economy is very bad since then
