Talking Bmw 535d smoking after head gasket change

I bought my 2006 e61 535d 5 months ago and i drove it pretty bad.a month later it started smoking coolant and i changed the head gasket with at thicker one because i sent my head for revision.I put the head and turbos back in the car and when it fired up the car smoked a lot and the smoke did not disappear after letting the car run for 30 min. Also the car has absolutely no power and barely gets to 30mph .My turbos were checked by a turbo shop and they are working fine.Is there anyone who can give me at least a hing of what could be wrong with my engine?

Could be a million different things, not many information in your story to speculate on the diagnostics

Smoke a lot = too much fuel compared to air maybe, or somehing clogged up.

Smoke + No power = If turbos checked, have you tried to do the actuator tests in ISTA+ to see if the vacuum system works (they are opening/closing for the bypasses of the Turbo).
If they are not opening and closing correct = maybe no exhaust gasses to spin up the turbos to create boost.
... Search for "mass air" in ISTA+, example (this is 1 turbo only though, but shows how it works): https://youtu.be/harVmHuHe2c

At around 3250 RPM, the big turbo takes over from the small turbo, have you tried to put gearbox i "manual" in e.g. 3rd gear (after engine is a bit warm of course...), and see if boost suddently appear after 3000 RPM?

If engine is "tight", then it could be the vacuum system not performing, or intake that is leaking, or exhaust is leaking, EGR cooler leaking, etc.

Try search for "das Projekt 5seven" and "CRANK" on YouTube, they have a lot of interesting videos.....

Wish you the best, and hope you fix it fast and cheap
