Rear Gate Damage - Repair?

Dear Bimmer Fourm,

Please I am looking for feedback on best to repair the back gas from dent. Backed up into a large truck made the dent.

I have access to knock it back from other side. One repair guy comments this needs body work, as the paint is likely to damage when hitting it back in place. Hopefully below links work to show the issue.

Agreed, probably not perfect, but probably 90% better then it is. Don't attempt to do PDR yourself or you'll make it worse for a pro to fix. If the paint is cracked, it would probably need bodywork.
